Thursday Thoughts – December 13, 2018

This Sunday is the third Sunday of Advent and we are focusing on Joy!

Did you know that it’s the 200th anniversary of Silent Night? We are focusing our advent worship around the theme of Calm and Bright and to tie in with the first verse of the hymn, this week we will light the candle of love.

Scripture – Matthew 2: 1-12

Reflection – Bearing Gifts!

Questions I am pondering:

  1. What are the gifts we bring?
  2. What traditions/practices do we have around gift giving?
  3. What would it look like to give gifts to Jesus?

This is just some of the food that was collected by both congregations to donate to Caring and Sharing!

If you, or someone else, is having a difficult time this season, please invite them to come along with you. Reception to follow!
