Thursday Thoughts – March 28, 2019

It is the FOURTH Sunday of Lent!

Reading – Luke 15:1-3, 11b-32, perhaps a very familiar one, is the parable of the Prodigal Son. You can find it here.

Reflection – Home is a Four Letter Word

Questions I am Pondering:

  • What is the intent of this parable?
  • What makes a home, home?
  • How can we be prodigal?

Sunday School is back in session at Riverview!

We will celebrate the Sacrament of Communion. Last week, we kneaded prayers into bread dough, this week, we will break that bread during communion!

Seven people participated in the ‘So, You’ve Been Asked to Lead Worship! workshop on Tuesday evening. If you didn’t get a chance and would like to have a copy of the material, please ask Rev. Catherine.

Rev. David Shearman is a long time on-line colleague, we writes a weekly column in his local paper, check out his latest one on Showing Leadership.

Every congregation likes to think of themselves as warm and welcoming, check out what Jan Edmiston has to say about that!
